Features
- A built-in hard disk eliminates loading screens during game play and allows for more expansive gaming. The Xbox supports traditional single-player and multiplayer gaming using Compact Disc (CD) games and handheld controllers. The Xbox also supports true Ethernet networking to home LANs and the Internet for expanded multiplayer gaming choices.
- Xbox consoles are the first video game system to feature a built-in Ethernet port. Two Xboxes can be networked directly using a System Link Cable (that is simply an Ethernet crossover cable). Alternatively, multiple Xboxes can be connected to the hub, switch, or router of a home network using regular Ethernet cables.
